Why you cannot create or activate another Playbook
When Save or Activate is unavailable, the quickest useful check is your current Playbook and strategy capacity. TensorAlgo has separate limits for saved Playbooks, active Playbooks, strategies inside one Playbook, and the total strategies running across all active Playbooks.
A free saved slot does not always mean there is also enough active-strategy capacity to activate the Playbook.
Check capacity in this order
- Open Settings → Playbooks and review saved and active usage.
- Open Settings → Billing and review the effective limits for the signed-in account.
- Compare the Playbook's strategy count with the per-Playbook strategy limit.
- Compare the total strategies across all active Playbooks with the active-strategy limit.
- Read any validation message shown next to the Save or Activate action.
If you cannot save another Playbook
The account may have reached its saved-Playbook limit.
You can keep only the number of saved Playbooks allowed by the effective account limit. If the limit is full, delete an eligible Playbook you no longer need or move to an account entitlement with more capacity before saving another one.
Deleting a Playbook is different from deactivating it. Deactivation frees active capacity but does not free a saved-Playbook slot.
If you can save but cannot activate
Activation can be blocked by any of these conditions:
- the active-Playbook limit is full;
- the combined active-strategy limit is full;
- the Playbook contains more strategies than the account allows for one Playbook;
- the Playbook is missing required valid configuration;
- the account's trading access is currently paused.
Deactivate another active Playbook when you simply need to switch which Playbooks are being evaluated. Deactivation does not erase earlier Trade History.
Check ownership and configuration
Rented, purchased, user-created, and system-provided Playbooks can expose different actions. A protected Marketplace Playbook can also restrict editing of the creator's strategy configuration.
If the issue is activation rather than editing, confirm the Playbook itself is valid and that the account has enough active capacity.
If the account was just upgraded or reactivated
Do not rebuild the Playbook or create another checkout immediately.
- confirm the expected plan is active in Settings → Billing;
- refresh the dashboard;
- sign out and back in once;
- compare the effective Playbook limits again;
- retry the original Save or Activate action.
What to include in a Support Ticket
If the current usage is below the displayed limits and the Playbook still cannot be saved or activated, include:
- the Playbook name;
- whether Save or Activate is failing;
- saved and active usage shown on the account;
- current plan shown in Billing;
- number of strategies in the Playbook;
- the exact validation or error message;
- whether the subscription was recently changed.
Do not include protected Marketplace strategy parameters or payment credentials.
