Marketplace seller earnings and commission tiers
TensorAlgo calculates Marketplace seller commission independently for each Playbook in each UTC calendar month. The commission is progressive: when a Playbook reaches a higher tier, the higher percentage applies only to transactions in that tier rather than recalculating earlier transactions in the month.
Commission tiers
For each Playbook, each UTC calendar month:
- successful paid transactions 1–10 earn the seller 50%;
- successful paid transactions 11–25 earn the seller 60%;
- successful paid transactions 26 and above earn the seller 70%.
A qualifying Marketplace transaction is a successful purchase, a successful new rental, or a successful monthly rental renewal. Failed or unpaid attempts do not create seller earnings or advance the transaction count.
For example, if one Playbook reaches 12 successful transactions in a month, transactions 1–10 use the 50% seller rate and transactions 11–12 use the 60% seller rate. A second Playbook from the same creator starts and progresses through its own monthly tier independently.
Amount used for seller earnings
For card and crypto transactions, seller commission is calculated from the eligible amount actually paid after applicable checkout discounts and before payment-provider fees. TensorAlgo absorbs payment-provider fees from the platform side rather than subtracting them from the seller percentage.
For Marketplace transactions paid with Platform Credits, the seller basis uses the nominal platform value of 1,000 Platform Credits = $1.
A checkout records its seller, Playbook version, price basis, discount result, and payment context on the server. Later listing edits do not rewrite an already-created transaction.
Rental renewals
Each successful paid rental period counts as its own Marketplace transaction. The original rental counts once, and each successful monthly renewal counts again in the UTC month when that renewal is paid.
A failed renewal does not create seller earnings and does not extend the paid Marketplace entitlement.
Pending and Available earnings
A new Marketplace seller earning remains Pending for 14 days. After the hold and any required payment adjustments, it becomes Available. Available earnings do not expire simply because the creator does not settle them immediately.
Marketplace seller earnings use the same Creator Earnings settlement policy as Affiliate and Invite Streamers earnings. The earning source remains visible in the ledger, but the settlement choices and rates are identical for all three sources.
Convert Available earnings to Platform Credits
Available Creator Earnings can be converted at $1 = 1,000 base Platform Credits plus a 6.5% Platform Credit bonus. For example, converting $100 of Available earnings produces 106,500 Platform Credits: 100,000 base Platform Credits plus 6,500 bonus Platform Credits.
This rule is the same for Marketplace seller earnings, Affiliate earnings, and Invite Streamers earnings.
Conversion is final for the converted earnings: the same earnings cannot later also be requested as cash. Automatic conversion is optional and is off by default. When enabled, it applies to future Available earnings from all three Creator Earnings sources.
Request a cash payout
A creator can instead request cash from Available Creator Earnings. A 3.5% payout processing fee applies to the gross amount requested. For example, a $100 request has a $3.50 processing fee and a $96.50 net cash payout.
This rule is also identical for Marketplace seller earnings, Affiliate earnings, and Invite Streamers earnings. Creator earnings do not enter a cash payout batch merely because they became Available; the creator must explicitly request cash. Eligible requested-cash settlements are processed through the twice-monthly cash payout cycle on the 1st and 16th UTC.
Refunds, reversals, and chargebacks
If a completed Marketplace transaction is later refunded, reversed, or charged back, TensorAlgo records one reversal against the original seller earning, even if the same payment event is received again. The original ledger history is retained rather than silently deleting the transaction record.
If a reversal occurs after an earning has already entered a settlement path, TensorAlgo prevents the affected balance from being settled again until the reversal is safely reconciled. A payment retry or payment-event replay must not create a second seller earning for the same Marketplace payment event.
Progressive tiers are per Playbook
Marketplace commission progression is intentionally not pooled across all Playbooks in a creator account. Each Playbook has its own monthly transaction sequence and therefore its own progress from 50% to 60% to 70%.
This also means a successful renewal on one Playbook does not move a different Playbook into a higher commission tier.
